Custom Wrestling Uniforms

Most high school, college and club programs order a competition singlet plus matching practice and warm-up gear. Here is what to decide before you request a quote.

Singlet or two-piece uniform

Under NFHS high school rules, wrestlers can compete in a one-piece singlet or a two-piece wrestling uniform: a form-fitting compression shirt that doesn’t extend below the elbow and has at least a 3-inch tail, worn with compression shorts or wrestling shorts. Many girls’ programs choose the two-piece option, or our women’s wrestling singlet with a higher neckline and a contoured fit through the hips. Female wrestlers must also wear a sports bra that fully covers the chest. See the NFHS wrestling uniform rules and check your state association for any local rules. High-cut or low-cut singlet

A high-cut singlet has higher leg openings for maximum freedom on the mat — the classic competition look. A low-cut singlet has longer legs for more coverage. Both are legal when the singlet is cut no lower than armpit level front and back, and no lower under the arms than halfway between the armpit and the belt line.

Fabric and decoration for wrestling uniforms

Our singlets use 80% polyester / 20% spandex 4-way stretch fabric in 140, 170 or 220–240 GSM, so they stay in place through takedowns and scrambles. Colors, logos, names and numbers are dye-sublimated into the fabric, so nothing cracks, peels or fades.

Match shorts and practice gear

Wrestling shorts worn in competition need at least a 4-inch inseam, must end above the knee, and have an elastic waistband with no exposed drawstring, belt loops, zippers, buttons or pockets. Our fight shorts have a fabric-covered elastic waistband with a hidden drawstring, so they work in matches as part of a two-piece uniform. Long sleeve compression shirts extend past the elbow, so they’re for practice and warm-ups only. Tell us whether each piece is for matches or practice and we’ll build it to the right spec.

Names, numbers and logos

The rules allow the school name, nickname, logo, mascot, weight class and the wrestler’s name. Any maker’s mark is limited to 2¼ square inches, once per item — we can keep it within that limit or leave it off for your own label.

Sizing

Order youth XS to adult 3XL together in one run. Send your roster with weight classes and we’ll recommend a size for each wrestler.

When to order for the season

Most orders arrive in 2–3 weeks from your deposit, with manufacturing and shipping both included in that time. Timing can vary with the order type and quantity, so in most states, where the high school season starts in November or December, order competition gear at least 3–4 weeks before your first meet. Tell us your first meet date and we’ll confirm the delivery date before you pay a deposit.
